Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How did you come up with the idea?
A: Well, I was out fishing one day in the beautiful Pumice Stone Passage west of Bribie Island and we were about to pack up and head home for the evening. I imagined being able to camp on the water and the idea was born.
Q: Are there restrictions about where you can camp?
A: Unlike on land there are few restrictions on the water. You can camp in most rivers without a problem and FREE of charge. Furthermore if you don’t like the spot, or your neighbours are noisy, simply up anchor and move!
Q: Do I need a boat license?
A: No, a license is not required as it is propelled by a 4hp outboard.
Q: Does it need to be registered?
A: No, there is no requirement to register it. The trailer, however, needs to be registered to be used on the road.
Q: How big is it?
A: It’s about 5.5 wide and 4.8m long when deployed. However it’s within towing dimensions, similar to a caravan, when packed up on the trailer. This makes it portable and avoids mooring fees etc.
